Graceland-The Home of Elvis Presley

10 April 2019

We arrived at 9.30 for our VIP tour. The cost was $99 per person.

This tour is fully interactive. You are given an iPad and headset which helps to immerse you in the experience.

A new Graceland complex opened in 2017 across the road from the Graceland Mansion, which became too small to display all of the displays. The tour of the mansion is was the first part of our day. We boarded the shuttle for the short journey to the mansion. I’ll let the photos do most of the talking now.

The mansion was smaller than we expected.

The lobby. The upstairs section remain private as a mark of respect for the Presley family.

The living room

The dining room

Elvis’ parents bedroom

The kichen

The pool room

The TV room

The office

The artifacts at the mansion

The racketball (squash) room and pool

The memorial garden and family graves.

The front of the mansion.

After the tour of the mansion we travelled back by the shuttle bus to the main Graceland complex. We spent the rest of the day touring the all the exhibitions including the cars and aeroplanes.

We spent 9 hours at Graceland. Well worth the $99.
